My husband is a mechanic. I have no idea what he is saying when he talks about cars. He loses me quickly… shhh…. don’t tell him my minds drifted somewhere completely different… someplace with terms I can grasp… Your job to make up a word that embraces the mind melt of such a conversation. “Yes, Dear… the alternator and gizmo-which-it thingy went kaboom?”
My novel “Minkowa” is heading to an editor soon! Then to finish cover design and format and it will be on its happy way to Amazon. I’ll be sharing more in the upcoming weeks!! Stay tuned if Young Adult Christian fantasy is your genre… even if its not- I had a Beta reader who didn’t care for fantasy but LOVED the book! Yay!
Time to name this month’s litter of puppies! They are adorable poofy collie puppies … they are not as special as my girl because they do not have one blue eye… sorry. (People say you need to look in one eye or the other when you talk to her because it gets confusing.) Aaaaaaanyway, you have a litter with 3 girls and one boy. In the spirit of my precious girl, you need to name them something that is beautiful in your eyes. It might be a car or a sweet roll or a flower. Whatever. Just something beautiful in your eyes. PS. This is Vislet. I named her after the Fox heroine of my young adult fantasy novel coming out soon. I thought she looked like a little fox when she was a puppy. Suuuuuuuch a goood girl ❤❤❤
If you are new to this creative writing series, welcome! I will explain what the whole journal entry thing is all about. The last weekday of each month, is a time to look back over the month, but not from your point of view! You first need to choose something that will write this and all the remaining journal entries for the year. It may be your cat. It may be a tree. It may even be a rock. Simply choose a character to follow along the year’s journey. Now, look back over September and think about some unique things this particular month held. The things you choose to focus on will depend on your character. It was my birthday this month! Things start to cool off a bit here in northern Wisconsin in September, too. Next, sum up your character’s September activities or outlooks in 3-10 sentences. My journal is written by my basset-mix Benzi. The family all came over for my birthday and played a game which is great fun because some people inevitably sit on the floor. Perfect reach for kisses when you have short little legs. She has also taken a new interest in climbing the woodpiles ( we have a woodstove we heat the house with.) Yes, little short-legged long bodied freckled dog up on top of the woodpile like a mountain goat. So what did your journaler find great about September?
