The Labrador is a retriever- he is bred for… well, retrieving… and working outside (water or field) with his humans, who he adores. You have a litter of 4 labs (sounds exhausting)- one black- two yellow- one chocolate. These little puppies need names that reflect the outdoors. For example- we used to have a yellow lab named Flannel. What’s your favorite name of the bunch?

What did you come up with?

If you are new to this creative writing series, welcome! I will explain what the whole journal entry thing is all about. The last weekday of each month, is a time to look back over the month, but not from your point of view! You first need to choose something that will write this and all the remaining journal entries for the year. It may be your cat. It may be a tree. It may even be a rock. Simply choose a character to follow along the year’s journey. Now, look back over June and think about some unique things this particular month held; The things you choose to focus on will depend on your character. Father’s Day? School’s out for the summer? Next, sum up your character’s June activities or outlooks in 3-10 sentences. June marks the big push for senior pictures- my daughter and son-in-law are photographers so my grandkids come hang out with me for a bit four days a week. It’s one of Benzi’s favorite things!! So, of course, her journal is filled with lots of love for the boys.

Hello Fidor… that’s what I named him… no clue why except he looks like a Fidor to me…

I’m not really a fireworks type person… they are OK, but not worth going somewhere to see… how about you?
