Here is a bright cheery green to get you in the mood for Spring. Truthfully, March in Wisconsin looks more like muddy snow. But March first  sets off the “IT IS SPRING!” mode in my head… so bright green it is.

Look at the color for a bit. Now check those thoughts dancing through your brain. Pick out a noun, verb, adjective and adverb from the conglomeration. Using those words for a guide, what would you name this color?

Let me know what you come up with!

This month, we are contemplating a mud puddle. It may not be glamorous, but I think it is interesting in its own right. After all, it can elicit a whole range of emotions from people… and not people.

Today, your job is to write a few sentences from the point of view of a child.

What do they think of when they see the mud puddle? What do they end up doing because they saw it?

How about you? What do you think about mud puddles?

Today we are looking at a grown-up’s thoughts concerning a mud puddle. It is most likely, quite different than the child’s view we though about yesterday!

Write a few sentences from their perspective.

What does the grown-up/parent think of when they see the mud puddle? Is there a specific reaction to the slippery, sticky little plop of water?

FYI…. I lost a shoe in a mud puddle once…

Todays point of view is from one of my favorite little creatures- a frog. Frog songs are one of my favorite sounds on the planet. Good thing we live by a lake…

Write a few sentences about what the frog thinks as it comes upon this tiny pool of water. Is he happy about it? Does he even care, one way or another?

How do you think our frog feels??

Easter is coming up next month. What if… you are on an Easter egg hunt. You are searching everywhere, so you can locate all the hidden treasures. But what is this?! You have just found a solid gold egg! How did it get there? Who made it? What are you going to do with it?

Let me know what happens in this mystery!!
