Another adventure begins! This time your journey takes you to the African savannah. As you make your way through the grasslands, you take note of your surroundings… as any good explorer does. Make a list of what you see smell hear feel taste Keep this list for tomorrow’s jaunt. I hear mosquitoes again… hmmm. I also hear brittle grass underfoot so at least that’s something besides insects…

Day two of the African savannah. Using the list you compiled yesterday, write a few sentences describing your adventure. Share with me what you have written! The closest I have come to Africa is Kilimanjaro Safaris in Disney World… aka not very close.

It’s a very blustery day. (I can’t say that without thinking of Winnie the Pooh… but this isn’t about him.) Your job today is to describe that windy day without using the word wind, or gale or any such term. Write a few sentences to show what is happening around you instead. Did Owl’s house topple? Ok- so maybe it IS a bit about Pooh…

Cookies or ice cream? What would you choose? Give me three reasons why. It might not be as easy as it sounds! I avoid sugar… but I used to LOVE cookies…

Have you ever jumped into cold water? I live in Wisconsin… so I have. What did that feel like? Describe the sensation to someone who has never had that experience. When I was little, I would sometimes test out the lake at our summer cottage in May. If you live in northern realms, you understand it was COLD. Funny how cold water gets colder the older you get….
